The votes have been cast, the votes have been counted, and while I am disappointed in the outcome, I am incredibly proud of the work we have done, the movement we have built, and the milestones we have accomplished, together in PA-17. I will be forever grateful for the support you have given me every door this campaign knocked, every voter this campaign called — all that happened because of you. Especially today, I’m reminded of why I got into this race – to fix our broken system. I wanted to help bring the people & communities of PA together by fighting for the things I know we need: better schools, better jobs, a stronger economy, a stronger democracy, access to healthcare, and the right to choose. That’s the vision that will carry me – carry our movement forward, regardless of the results today.
It was never about a single election, it was about building a better life for all Pennsylvanians, and you can bet that is a fight I will never give up. Today, I want to thank our dedicated volunteers and supporters, the organizations who endorsed us, the elected officials who stood with us, and the voters who cast their ballots for our campaign. And, of course, my incredible family, my team, and my partner, Ethan. We still have a lot of work to do with education, LGBTQ rights, & reproductive healthcare. I will be back to organize for our community and make sure PA stays blue. So, let’s get some rest, and let’s get ready for the next fight.
